Alone

Are you like me, alone in this world even when you are surrounded?
Are you like me, wishing you could be heard even when you don't speak?

The silent suffering that eats at the soul until the soul is nothing but a tattered wisp,
That every smile must be faked for happiness is just an emotion you once felt long, long ago.

And even though your body is on the Earth you watch like a broken angel?
Then you might be like me; a nobody who is lost in the crowd of fake smiles.

And even when you wish you could come back, you know you can't.
Because nobody has heard you before, even though you speak with frozen tears and a frozen smile.

THEY don't know and they never will, the suffering that you feel.
THEY can't tell you what you are, only you can.

Then you are alone.
